Bilbao and the surrounding area are in a profound process of functional and aesthetic renovation. The Artxanda Tunnels contribute decisively to the transformation of our city. Fully aware of the symbolic character of a project held dear for several decades, the Concessionaire Túneles de Artxanda opened an architectural tender to supply the tunnels with a unique building. The Control Building fits in perfectly with the regeneration process of our urban environment.

The contract was awarded to architect Manuel Salinas, who made the project of the current building. It is used for carryng out functions related to traffic control, coordination, information and security.
