All fifteen lanes of the Artxanda Tunnels are equipped with electronic toll collection systems installed in Txorierri. This system provides users with a number of advantages.


Through the Telepeaje (Teletoll) system, the user can pay the toll at the distance and does not need to stop the car in the toll booths. The toll can be paid either in booths exclusive provided with the system, or in any of the other booths, including manual toll booths.

The antenna, on the toll lane, detects whether the driver has the electronic device, identifies its user in a few tenths of second, and gives way to proceed.

The device is an electronic card, about the size of a credit card and about one centimetre thick, to stick to the windshield of the vehicle, usually behind the rear-view mirror. In case the vehicle has an non-thermal windscreens, the device will be placed in the window provided to that end.
